Kicking off my new Travel Blog with this painterly photograph of some Lotus Flowers taken on the beautiful backwaters of Kerala, South India. In Honour of Kamala Harris. The first Female, South Asian woman Vice president in the US. Did you know Kamala means “lotus flower” in Sanskrit? It’s a symbol of significance in Indian culture. A lotus grows underwater, It’s flowers rising above the surface while the roots are planted firmly in the river bottom. Aside from a lotus flower, Kamala also is a name linked to Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of good fortune.

Something I have put off for a while, but as we have been in lockdown for so long I decided it’s time to start planning for a future when it is safe to travel again.
